Dr. Alon teaches the 2-year music theory sequence (MUSI 1211-1212 and 2211-2212) at Lone Star College-CyFair.

The sequence starts with music fundamentals and progresses into diatonic harmony and voice-leading (MUSI 1211), chromatic harmony (MUSI 1212, 2211), and advanced analytical techniques for late Romantic and early modern concert music (MUSI 2212).  The course sequence is required for the AA degree as well as at any public Texas four year college.  It gives all musicians a solid grounding in how music works.
