Program Description
As a pharmacy technician, you'll work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and performs many pharmacy-related functions. Job duties can include dispensing prescription drugs and other health care items to patients, as well as working with doctor's offices and insurance companies to ensure correct medications are provided and payment is received.
This course prepares students to take the national certification exam through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
