Network Printer Troubleshooting

Did you try to shut down and reboot the computer?

Verify that you are logged into the network by checking to see if you can access the Internet.

If so, try to log out and then back in again.

Print a test page.

Check the queue and delete or cancel jobs that have not printed.

If the job does not delete, restart the system.

Check the status.

If you are still unable to print from Word, Excel, or E-mail, your local service desk will need to be notified of the problem.

Before you contact your local service desk, have the information below available:

  • Printer Name.
  • Description of the problem.
  • When the problem started.
  • A telephone number where you can be reached.
