Macy Perrone

Macy Perrone is currently engaged as a freelance costume designer in the Houston area. She is the resident costume designer at LSC-Montgomery where she designs, advises students and teaches Introduction to Costuming and Introduction to Makeup. Having a background in both education and professional theatre, her designs include The Importance of Being Earnest (LSC-Cy-Fair), Sideways Stories From Wayside School, Bud Not Buddy, The Magic City, The Light in the Piazza, Number the Stars, ....and L.A. is Burning (Main Street Theatre), Five Women Wearing the Same Dress, Goodnight Desdemona (Good Morning Juliet), Noises Off, Home Front, You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, The Shape of Things (LSC-Montgomery), Two by Two, Dames at Sea (Utah Musical Theatre), The Hollow, Picasso at the Lapin Agile, and The Comedy of Errors (Utah State University) which won the KC/ACTF National Barbizon Award for Excellence in Design. Costume Supervisory roles include Savitri, Gianni Schicci (Rice University, Shepherd School of Music) Un BAllo Maschera, The Abduction From the Seralgio, and La Boheme (Houston Grand Opera.) Macy received her undergraduate degree in Apparel and Textiles and her Master of Fine Arts in Theatre Design from Utah State University where she participated in master classes with Tom Broker, Susan Branch, John Lee Beatty, and Beverly Emmons.
