LSC-University Park Community Services

The LSC-University Park Library, though focused on students and faculty, is also open to members of the community!

Using the Computers

To sign into the computers, you can either use your HCPL (Harris County Public Library) library account or have a temporary account created at the front desk with valid picture ID. Your HCPL print card can be used for printing here, as well.

  • If using your HCPL account, the username will be your barcode number, and the password is your 4-digit PIN.

Please note the official policy regarding library computer use, particularly section G.1.03. Student access is our highest priority, especially during high-use periods.

Accessing the Databases

When you are using a lab computer on a Lone Star College campus, you will automatically be authenticated to access the databases. If you need access from home, however, you will have to go through the public library website with which you have a card.

To gain full access and borrowing privileges, consider taking a class with Lone Star College!

Getting a Library Card

Community members may procure a community card at the front desk or request an account number from HCPL online.

For more information, visit the LSCS Libraries' page: Get a Library Card.
