The festival promotes the parks, museum, library, visual and preforming arts, and other community resources in the Greater Cypress Creek Area. There will be numeous events such as hands-on art projects, artist demonstrations, concerts, and literacy activities throughout the day. Outdoor activites, such as the Adventure Race and Family Dash will promote healthy living and physical fitness. LSC-University Park will also compete in the Outdoor Chalk Art competition and work on large-scale outdoor chalk artworks. So, if you're artistic and want to represent LSC-University Park, then come out for a day of fun and support your campus! A portion of the proceeds raised at CreekFest will help fund scholarships for our students.
The open house will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at
LSC-University Center at University Park, Bldg. 12, second floor.
Faculty members, student advisors, and financial aid and admissions officers from each partner university will be available to answer questions from students interested in transferring to one of the four-year institutions. There will also be food, games, and giveaways.
LSC-University Center at University Park offers junior, senior and graduate level classes through its university partnerships. Students who enroll with one of the partner universities on-site are able to complete a bachelor’s or master’s degree (or teaching certificate) without traveling to the university campuses.
Not only will the drive provide life-saving blood to patients, it will also help fund scholarships for deserving students at LSC-University Park.
All eligible students and faculty are encouraged to participate. It only takes 30-45 minutes to donate.
