Meet the HSO Officers
Cory McAnally, President
Major: Nutrition
Hometown: Huffman, TX
- Why did you join this organization? To meet other students who are pursuing Honors credit classes.
- That are your personal goals for the semester? To set a "personal best" goal and excel in HSO and the Honors Program.
- What are your goals for the organization? To be more accessible to the general student population and to increase membership, participation, and awareness.
- What are your career interests? Pediatric nutrition and obesity.
- What are your hobbies outside of school? Gardening, needlework and handmade dolls.
I am completing my first year as a returning student and am a member of Phi Theta Kappa. I plan to complete a degree in Nutrition at the University of Houston and a certification in Non-Profit Business Management from the University Center.

- Why did you join this organization? To contribute to community service-oriented projects and participate in student fellowship opportunities.
- That are your personal goals for the semester? To complete prerequisites for my program goals and to pursue a more active role in HSO and PTK (Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society).
- What are your goals for the organization? To continue the excellent reputation left by prior HSO Officers and given in community service efforts.
- What are your career interests? Nursing and medicine.
- What are your hobbies outside of school? Anything outdoor or social.
I am 31 (almost 32) years old. I have two beautiful children (Alexandria, 10 and Victor, 7) and a wonderful supportive wife (Daphne). I have a successful insurance business but have recently refocused my efforts to the medical field.
