In response to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Lone Star College swiftly implemented a laptop and tablet loaner program to provide devices to students who lacked access to technology. Initially, 9 percent of Lone Star College's 85,000 students did not have a computing device, highlighting a significant digital divide within the student population.

Lone Star College-Montgomery is committed to fostering neurodiversity awareness within the Hispanic community by promoting recognition, acceptance, and inclusion of students with autism and other disabilities. On April 18th, from 6 to 8 p.m., LSC-M will host “Connecciones Transformadoras. Navegando Disabilidades Cognitivas en los Estados Unidos” (Transformational Connections: Navigating Cognitive Disabilities in the US).

College President
Dr. De' Reese Reid-Hart will be the fifth President of Lone Star College-Montgomery. Dr. Reid-Hart earned a Bachelor of Arts in English/ Pre-Law and a Master of Arts in Education Psychology, both from Eastern Illinois University. She holds a Doctoral degree in Education Leadership from National Louis University in Chicago.
